A Chosen People

This message from 1 Peter 2:9–10 reminds us that our identity is found in Christ, not in our circumstances or the world’s opinion. Scripture declares that we are chosen, royal, holy, God’s own people, called to proclaim His excellencies.

We did not earn this identity through performance or behavior. We have it because we are united with Christ, and He now lives in us. Jesus is not an addition to our lives—He is our life.

Once we were not a people and had not received mercy, but now everything has changed. By God’s mercy, we have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light.

This truth anchors us in trials and opposition, reminding us who we are. As Christ fills us from within, our lives naturally shine as citizens of His eternal kingdom.
